sitting around and quite literally doing nothing except soaking in the joy that was hours and hours of cable television was amazingly fun. after b’s 5-day break around the new year, he exclaimed “this was fun, but i’m really glad to go back to work.” i looked at him, appalled and disgusted. wha?! you’re sick of vacation? what kind of sick freak are you? all told, i had a snafu on tuesday that apparently was a tell about how much i really relaxed over break. i woke up at 8, ready to get going to work and realized that i had requested time off until wednesday. not sure of this, i had to email our HR person, only to be told to enjoy my last day off. frick! how sad that i didn’t even know.

so it all wasn’t tons of laziness. i discovered korean dessert pancakes in bulk, got to bond with the dog (he’s now more needy than ever!), baked an egregious amount of cookies, did some wedding hooey, and wasted 40 fujifilm peel apart photos because my beloved polaroid 450 is apparently dead.

i’d say it was resourceful.
