it is day… 2 of this vacation week. it is also the second day in a row i’ve set an alarm in an attempt to get up before 10am (you know, to try to make the most of my day, be resourceful on my time off, blah blah blah). yes, two days in a row of snoozing and waking up at noon. glorious, glorious sloth.

i’ve gotten a lot of rest in, which almost makes up for the last two months. i’m working on actually putting up my portfolio site again, since it’s been dormant for years now (i’m more than just helvetica text and snarky links). i’ve successfully burned through the 15 christmas-themed lifetime movies on our dvr (i can’t get enough of those christmas carol remakes) and baked probably 100 cookies over the last week. i’m tethering myself to the house because if i leave it, i will inevitably spend money, which is something i don’t have.

overall, this vacation has been lazy and i’ve been getting to know truman a little more. i’ve learned he doesn’t move at all during the day. AT ALL. he’s been on the couch for hours now and i swear i wouldn’t know he was alive except for his sleep chewing. i’m looking forward to sleeping away the next few days.
